Learning About Life provides a small, intimate and structured environment to families. We promise to keep class sizes small to help you on your homeschooling journey; creating a family environment. Believing in an outstanding "back-to-basics" way of learning, we focus on academic success as well as life skills to help your child feel at ease in the world. We promise to engage your child in learning skills which they will use throughout their lives, for life long learning. No computerized tests, just good old fashion, fun and interactive learning and excellent service with well planned and interactive activities using various sources to accommodate your educational plan.
We are flexible. We believe in learning outside of the box; learning about our world, IN our world! We're showing life skills, empathy, creativity and more through various experiences, lessons and activities. Our group is fun, yet demanding and intense helping our young students develop their sense of identity, self-esteem, and independence while using a hands on approach to teaching and learning. We use many resources believing the textbook is just a resource, not the lesson! Every student is different so we choose not to use just one "boxed" way of learning! LAL chooses to be eclectic because we have a whole world full of adventure and experiences to indulge in and that can help a child learn in several different ways! Your child will be challenged and expected to become a self learner - with help, of course.
